My Aversion to Adulting

Woke up an hour or so ago, the fire was out, but started quickly with some kindling. I noticed that I felt better than when I layed down. Not sure why there was so much charge around a series of life events yesterday, other than my aversion to certain Adulting Requirements. It is a lesson though at how quickly things can get sideways.

This specific instance further exemplifies my growing thoughts, feelings and emotions around anarchy. The workforce has become so specialist, and single focused, only really caring about checking off a task for their endless ToDoList, with little to no experience to problem solve. Worse yet, they don’t care. Many are so burned out with the juggling of lifeing, and angry, even militant about these made up rules, that many times make no logical sense, yet they are rules someone decided were important for the sheep to follow.

These rules seem to mostly establish order in this chaotic society. Truth be told, it makes me want to head Further North, Deeper into the Woods and Nature. The Rules of Nature seem much more balanced, unaltered by The Man’s Agenda. Nature’s Rules are Harsh sometimes, but seem to make total sense, and seem predictable, but are much more work, but much more Satisfying to the Soul.

Society today Life’s on these made up terms with little reverence to our thoughts, feelings and emotions, OR in full reverence to them, depending on our outlook and ability to remain consciously grounded and aware. So, For Today, I will do my best to comply with society’s silly game Leaning in to Curiosity,……

Not Knowing is the Obstacle

How suffering becomes a door to peace. How pain is a trapdoor that if stood fully upon opens under the terrible weight of full acceptance . . . How the very things we think are obstacles to peace are windows, and on the other side of the windows are our peaceful selves. How if we do not get this, the obstacles will keep coming and keep coming. How we pull them to us like iron filings to a magnet. How powerful is a human being. How little we know this. How the not-knowing is the greatest obstacle of all.

Life itself is just one long series of mastery of difficulties and obstacles. Not until we are pricked, and stung and sorely shot at, awakens the I indignation which arms itself with secret forces

The doors to the world of the wild Self are few but precious. If you have a deep scar, that is a door, if you have an old, old story, that is a door. If you love the sky and the water so much you almost cannot bear it, that is a door. If you yearn for a deeper life, a full life, a sane life, that is a door. ~ Clarissa Pinkola Estés

“Sleep is not a dead space, but a doorway to a different kind of consciousness — one that is reflective and restorative, full of tangential thought and unexpected insights. In winter, we are invited into a particular mode of sleep: not a regimented eight hours, but a slow, ambulatory process in which waking thoughts merge with dreams, and space is made in the blackest hours to repair the fragmented narratives of our days.”
